Let’s Bring The Power Of Communication To Every Classroom!
“What she has taught my staff has been absolutely life changing.
We hired Professor Jenny for monthly workshops/consulting for our Early Childhood Center. We didn't know what to expect because we'd never experienced hiring someone like this before. Let me just say- what she has taught my staff has been absolutely life-changing. We have implemented everything she has taught us and the children are progressing. If you have a chance to work with her, do it. We have her posters and now flashcards in our classrooms and the students love them. Thank you Signing Courses!”
Director of Early Childhood, Miss. Lacy
Today, Jenny is responsible for enabling countless education centers with the resources they need to teach and communicate using ASL. She has also developed multiple Deaf Studies programs at the Collegiate level, and, as the lead professor, and program chair, sees 300+ students each year. She holds an Associates and Bachelors in ASL Interpreting for the Deaf, a Deaf Studies Certificate, and a Masters in Special Education with a specialized teaching certificate,
Jenny knows that ASL is a gift from the Deaf community, and she wants to share this language with every educator so they can bridge communication gaps in their classrooms to open up new avenues of learning.
The Signing Courses Circle is open for a one-time fee of $77 for a limited time. That investment includes ongoing support, lifetime access, and continued signing lessons for educators.
These weekly lessons can be used as Professional Development!
“Our son who has autism is signing and communicating. As soon as we signed up for Signing Courses, we completed the Simple Signs course, everything clicked. We learned what we were doing wrong and we fixed it immediately. Now our son who has autism is signing and communicating. We wish everyone knew that there is a proper way to sign with your child. Parents get so frustrated, but this Professor Jenny made it easy! It took us 40 minutes to complete the Simple Course and we have all of her posters and flashcards. Now we know our toddler wanted to communicate all along, it was us who had to make the adjustment!”

If YOU struggle with:
Children aren’t speaking, and educators desperately want to encourage speech and language. Your special education classrooms might already have communication devices or tablets, but those devices are useless when a child uses the bathroom or is otherwise without a device. You want to help, but you don’t know how.
You may have brought in a sign language professional to demonstrate signs, but this alone doesn't answer teachers' questions or offer ongoing support. Without follow-up resources, educators lack the tools to integrate sign language into their teaching practice effectively.
While shelves are full of books on sign language and baby signing, the crucial missing piece is a clear strategy for integrating these signs into the existing curriculum. Furthermore, many of these resources feature cute characters demonstrating signs but lack the nuanced facial expressions essential for accurate learning, opening the door for misunderstanding.
"Hi Professor Jenny, This is Maggie ******. I was an ASL student of yours last spring/summer, and I wanted to reach out to you with a little story…Your class was the last one I took (as a high schooler). Upon graduation, I transferred to the University of Toledo. Starting my first semester at a big university, my biggest worry wasn’t biology or anatomy or healthcare delivery class; it was ASL III.
I went in not knowing what to expect, and incredibly nervous that I’d be far behind other students in the class. Now that I’m two weeks in, I’ve learned a little something. I knew I was learning a lot in your Elementary ASL courses; I didn’t realize just HOW MUCH. You took care of us like so much more than “just” a teacher.
I walked into my UT Sign Language class and realized immediately that I know just as much, probably more, than all the other students.
And I am so relieved. Because of you, Sign Language III is my current favorite class. Professor **** is certainly no Professor Jenny, but I think she, too, is relieved that I’m able to keep up. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for everything you taught me, and thank you for pushing us to learn and sign so much. I can’t thank you enough for the anxiety you DIDN’T cause me walking into a big university ASL class. Have a wonderful weekend, and a wonderful rest of the semester."
American Sign LAnguage Student, Maggie
Students previously struggling with verbal communication found their voice through ASL, finding their confidence and being able to express themselves.
You see a noticeable improvement in engagement and participation among students who were previously disengaged or marginalized due to communication barriers.
Parents of children with communication challenges felt relief and reassurance knowing their needs were fully addressed and supported within their chosen educational setting-and they understand the same method and theory as to why using signs is successful.
The classroom dynamic transformed into a more inclusive and accepting environment, where students celebrated diversity and embraced their peers’ unique abilities.
Academic achievement increased as students now have access to a comprehensive means of expression, leading to enhanced learning outcomes across all subject areas.
The entire school experienced a profound shift towards inclusivity and empathy, fostering a culture where everyone, regardless of their communication abilities, felt valued, respected, and understood.
You have all the support you need with flashcards, visual aids, posters, and ongoing support to help them successfully merge ASL within your current teaching program.
You can support early learners’ speech through sign language. Research shows that sign language helps prompt speech, and ASL acts as a stepping stone until a child feels ready to produce words verbally.
“I run community center and we have noticed quite a few members who use sign language to communicate. Not only our two Deaf members, but children who have disabilities who can hear as well. I was unaware that this is common and had no idea how to accommodate our members. Thankfully I came across Signing Courses from a google search. We set it up so all of my staff and students could join and we could become more inclusive. Her program and materials are now the most requested. I recommend Signing Courses for any community-based program or outreach center. ”

"Professor Jenny’s courses and materials have absolutely increased my understanding and my nephews' understanding of communication and learning abilities. Not only am I now equipped with basic signs to use in daily communication with my nephews, but WHEN to use them and HOW to use them. “Wait – Wouldn’t it be easier to teach them to speak?”
Research demonstrates that signing does not prevent your child from speaking; it actually supports it (Millar and Light). Incorporating Sign Language basics simply acts as a stepping stone until your child feels ready to produce words verbally. Contact us if you need more research-based evidence.
As a former Teacher of the Deaf and ASL Interpreter herself, she understands these professions very well.
These teachers work with Deaf students and are trained to work with Deaf and hard of hearing students, not with the hearing population we are aiming to serve.
Although they can be a great resource, a TOD (Teacher of the Deaf) should not be relied on to teach your entire staff and parents the ins and outs of ASL in a way that serves the special population we serve. It is best to allow TOD's to do their job serving within the Deaf community (it's a tough enough job already!) Same goes with an ASL Interpreter or someone who knows ASL who may be in your district.
Absolutely! This is the language of the Deaf that they’ve shared with us. The resources found in the Signing Courses Circle also apply to Deaf or hard-of-hearing children, so if you have a Deaf child in your classroom, you can use these to support their learning.
The courses and products are designed to accommodate all levels, from beginners with no prior knowledge of ASL to more advanced learners looking to refine their skills. Each course is tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of participants.
The courses cater to a diverse audience, including educators seeking to support students with communication challenges, parents of children with special needs, parents of preverbal babies who want to know what their baby wants before they can speak, and individuals interested in learning ASL for personal or professional growth.

We teach ASL. ASL is a language that has its own grammar and syntax. ASL is a beautiful language that has been gifted to us by the Deaf community. We honor the language, and teach you to respect it too, by educating you about the Deaf Community and Culture as well.
Yes! We give large group discounts, and are happy to accommodate your specific school-needs.
Absolutely! Professor Jenny does workshops, classes, consultations, Professional Development and so much more.
“I encourage everyone in my network to learn more about Signing Courses and identify where you can use them in your own classroom and support awareness!I wanted to take a quick minute out of a busy Monday to share with my network an impactful tool to support an even more amazing new program. ASL has been something I've used an early educator to empower all of my students to communicate their wants/needs from a very early age.And I was blessed with Professor Jenny, who has dedicated her career to creating awareness and empowering others to learn and leverage Sign Language as a way to connect. She is not only one of the top professors of ASL, she i s also an accomplished and best-selling author and Child of Deaf Adult.”
